Hyperscale Cooling Architecture Ownership
Define and validate cooling reference architectures for Hyperscale Campuses AI/GPU Clusters Select and justify air vs Liquid Vs hybrid cooling strategy Chilled water vs direct expansion vs free cooling (where realistically possible) Ensure scalability, modularity, and future density headroom are built in from Day . Demonstrate strong customer‑facing, communication, and influencing skills to support technical credibility and customer confidence. Be connected with SE Line of Businesses and be up to date on the last technical evolutions of equipment/ systems to leverage it to the benefit of customer future technical solutions
Tender Support & Upstream AlignmentActively contribute to tender and pre‑tender phases, ensuring the proposed cooling designs are technically sound, competitive, and executable. Define and validate technical architectures, design assumptions, and compliance matrices. Ensure consistency between tender commitments and executable project design.
Technical Design AuthorityLead and approve basic and detailed cooling designs in line with customer requirements and SE standards. Ensure coherence, robustness, and compliance of all design deliverables across projects and regions.
Mastery of Airflow management & containment, Chilled water and DX systems, Liquid cooling architectures. Ability to Read and challenge mechanical designs, P&IDs, layouts, Detect over-engineering and under-engineering instantly. Understanding of Cooling impact on electrical systems (UPS, generators)
Optimize PUE, WUE support customer on sustainability commitments and Align solutions with Schneider-Electric decarbonization and Eco Struxure strategy
Stakeholder & Supplier CoordinationTrain presales, sales, project teams, contractor and EU on:
- Hyperscale cooling limit
- AI thermal constraints and new technology
- Middle East–specific failure modes
- Act as technical escalation point for the region.
- Mentor engineers and influence product roadmap based on regional needs.
Act as Schneider’s final Cooling technical voice in:
- Hyperscale technical workshops
- Consultant design reviews
- EPC value-engineering sessions
- Support mega RFPs and defend Schneider’s position in technical clarifications.
- Identify design risks early
- Support FAT/SAT and commissioning for critical projects.
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE Standard , uptime Institute Guideline, Local regulation and Utilities Constraints Identify technical risks, design deviations, and change impacts versus contract or approved baseline.
- Support PMs and Execution TLs in technical assessments of changes and variation orders.
- Capture lessons learned and drive standardization and continuous improvement across accounts.
- Master’s degree in engineering mechanical (HVAC).
- Fluent English and Arabic . Other languages are a plus.
- 7 years in data center cooling or mission-critical infrastructure
- Technical experience in the Hyperscale and large collocation Data Center,
- Technical experience in AI Data center infrastructure area plus
- Technical experience in Cooling design and Equipment Chiller, FWU, CRAH, CRAC, CDU…
- Ability to lead with agility in a complex & matrix environment.
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in a concise and synthetic manner on complex technical strategy.
- Ability to convince stakeholders on the proper project technical strategy
- Ability to learn from others, share her/his knowledge, coach others and collaborate efficiently.
- Ability to read and understand applicable standards
