Working alongside senior specialists, the Environmental Engineer will collect reliable field data, assess contamination conditions, operate monitoring equipment, and help develop practical solutions for soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air quality concerns. The role contributes to regulatory compliance, environmental risk reduction, sustainable development, and responsible management of contaminated sites.

It combines office-based technical analysis with hands‑on fieldwork in varied environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support projects involving contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, sustainability, and Environmental Social and Governance initiatives.
  • Assist with remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial designs, action plans, and implementation activities.
  • Plan and coordinate field programs for collecting soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air samples.
  • Conduct environmental site assessments, site investigations, contamination characterization, and remediation work.
  • Support drilling activities, soil logging, monitoring well installation, and environmental sample collection.
  • Analyze technical data and contribute to fate and transport modelling under the direction of senior professionals.
  • Apply appropriate sampling methods to produce accurate and defensible environmental data.
  • Organize field records, laboratory information, monitoring results, photographs, and supporting documentation.
  • Operate and maintain environmental monitoring, treatment, and remediation equipment.
  • Assist with remediation system inspections, performance monitoring, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Prepare technical reports, site assessment findings, environmental documentation, tables, and project records.
  • Maintain productive relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, laboratories, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow environmental regulations, approved procedures, quality requirements, and safety protocols during every activity.
  • Coordinate with regional and national technical experts to resolve project-specific environmental challenges.
  • Help supervise subcontractors and verify that field activities meet technical and safety expectations.
  • Participate in professional practice groups, technical learning sessions, and continuous development programs.
Ideal Profile

The preferred candidate will hold a bachelor 's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A master 's degree in environmental engineering or a related field would be advantageous. Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical ability, accurate technical writing, effective problem‑solving, and confidence working in collaborative project teams. Excellent written and spoken English is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Hands‑on exposure to drilling, soil logging, monitoring well installation, environmental sampling, site assessment, remediation systems, or waste management will strengthen an application. Experience in challenging field settings and familiarity with Middle East environmental requirements are also valuable. A valid driving licence with a clean record is required. HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training, project management exposure, modelling experience, and knowledge of sustainability or Environmental Social and Governance practices are preferred.
