Electrical Infrastructure Consultant

Role Overview

Our client, a leading national authority overseeing industrial cities and zones in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly technical Electrical Infrastructure Consultant to support the successful operation and optimal delivery of electricity across its industrial cities. The consultant will be based on-site in Riyadh, working closely with the client and its tenants — whether leasing land or Ready Built Factories — to assess needs, resolve electrical service issues, and produce clear technical studies and recommendations that ensure reliable power delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and advise on electrical distribution networks and substation design, planning, and capacity across industrial cities
• Conduct load and demand studies for industrial and commercial tenant sites
• Evaluate power quality, reliability, and outage management issues
• Support electrical capacity planning and expansion for industrial zones
• Ensure alignment with relevant regulatory and utility standards (e.g., Saudi Electricity Company requirements)
• Conduct infrastructure assessments/audits for facilities and tenants, including site visits as needed
• Engage directly with tenants and facility operators on-site to understand and resolve their electrical needs
• Translate technical findings into clear, actionable studies, reports, and presentations (PowerPoint, Excel)

Required Qualifications

• Strong technical background in electrical engineering, with deep expertise in distribution networks and substations
• Experience with medium and high voltage systems
• Proven experience conducting load/demand studies and infrastructure audits
• Strong command of Arabic (mandatory)
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for technical reporting
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with tenants/facility operators
• Willingness and ability to be based on-site in Riyadh for the full contract duration

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia's industrial or utility sector
• Familiarity with government industrial city/authority operations
• Based in or near Riyadh, or able to relocate quickly
• Full-time, on-site commitment for the contract duration (Riyadh, KSA)
• Deliverables expected: technical studies, tenant needs assessments, and recommendations to support optimal electricity delivery for the client's industrial cities
