Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Design Calculations

• Design Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical distribution systems
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop and short-circuit studies

• Design earthing, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, emergency lighting, and lighting control systems
• Size transformers, generators, UPS systems, switch gear, cables and protective devices

• Develop and coordinate detailed BIM models across LOD 300 to LOD 400 using industry standards
• Perform clash detection in Navisworks to resolve design conflicts at early stages

• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, technical specifications and detailed electrical layouts
• Manage design validation, design verification and drawing reviews with consultants to secure formal approvals

• Integrate work scope for all project entities into the master project plan
• Review schedule representations, establish conceptual scope studies and extract BOQ and technical data from BIM models for site teams

• Collaborate with architectural, structural and MEP teams to ensure seamless electrical integration while ensuring compliance with IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE and local authority standards

• Education:
  
  BE / BTech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Experience:
  
  8–10 years of experience in electrical design and project coordination
• Technical Knowledge:
  Strong expertise in power distribution systems, lighting design, fire alarm systems, ELV systems, earthing/lightning protection, and emergency power systems
• Software Proficiency:
  AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, ETAP, DIALux evo
