Expo 2030 Riyadh is a global platform where countries, organizations, and individuals will come together to collaborate. Under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” the Expo promotes sustainable development, innovation, and transformative thinking. The event will be held from October 2030 to March 2031 and is expected to welcome over 40 million visits.

The 6 km² Masterplan outlines a comprehensive framework for participation and infrastructure at the Expo. The exhibition space, totaling 491,100 m² GFA, can accommodate up to 197 participating countries and 29 international organizations. Working collaboratively with our customer, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), Bechtel will manage the infrastructure program which comprises early works, utilities, and publicly accessible spaces like streets and parks.

Our scope on the six-square-kilometer site will transition into a mixed-use legacy development to serve the community after the six-month event is over. The project’s master plan leverages international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources.

The Senior Planner / Scheduler (Pre-Commissioning Planner) will lead the planning, integration, monitoring and reporting of pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, handover and operational-readiness activities. The role will translate the project’s systemization and turnover strategy into an integrated, logic-driven schedule that connects construction completion with safe energization, testing, acceptance and handover milestones.

The successful candidate will work closely with Construction, Engineering, Commissioning, Quality, HSE, Contracts, Procurement, vendors, contractors and the Employer’s representatives to validate sequence, readiness, constraints and forecast dates. The position requires strong Primavera P6 capability, practical knowledge of completions and turnover processes, and the ability to communicate schedule risk and recovery priorities clearly to senior stakeholders.

A. Supervision Received:

Reports to and receives technical guidance and operational supervision from designated Project Controls and/or Commissioning management personnel.

Maintains regular working interfaces with project and program controls teams, pre-commissioning and commissioning leads, construction management, engineering, quality, HSE, contracts, procurement, contractors, vendors, customers and other functional stakeholders. May lead schedule integration workshops and coordinate the work of planners supporting commissioning scope.

• Develop, integrate and maintain the pre-commissioning and commissioning schedule within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), aligned with contractual milestones, the systemization strategy and the approved handover sequence.
