Position OverviewThe Aftersales Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing technical and operational processes across Lucid's service centers, body repair centers (LABRC), mobile service operations, PDI, and service parts activities. The role supports the Aftersales Program Manager by providing engineering analysis, process design, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, scalable, and high‑quality aftersales operations aligned with Lucid engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities Service Process Development & Optimization- Design, standardize, and document end to end service processes covering diagnosis, repair workflows, quality checks, and turnaround time (TAT).
- Analyze repair cycle times and throughput to improve operational efficiency and reduce customer wait times.
- Develop and optimize processes related to PDI, warranty repairs, and workshop operations in alignment with Lucid engineering standards.
- Create PFMEAs, control plans, SOPs, and work instructions for aftersales processes using Lucid's Process Engineering methodologies.
- Provide data analysis, process insights, and engineering inputs to support program planning and execution.
- Support cross functional initiatives including service readiness, new service program launches, and field quality improvements.
- Participate in cross functional reviews with Engineering, Quality, Parts Operations, Logistics, LABRC, and Field Support teams.
- Ensure aftersales process alignment with program timelines, milestones, and readiness gates.
- Partner with Field Quality Engineers to analyze failure trends and develop corrective process actions.
- Support root cause analysis and containment activities using 8D, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving methodologies.
- Translate engineering solutions and design changes into practical service center workflows and procedures.
- Improve parts ordering, availability, and parts to repair workflows in collaboration with Parts Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Identify parts fulfillment bottlenecks and design process improvements to enhance service repair efficiency.
- Support forecasting, replenishment, and service parts flow optimization as required.
- Analyze service operational data including First Time Through (FTT), Turnaround Time (TAT), repeat repairs, quality flags, and parts usage.
- Develop dashboards and performance reports to support KPI tracking and decision making.
- Map process gaps within DMS, ERP, and technical information portals and propose improved workflows and system integrations.
- Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve technician utilization, and optimize workshop layout and flow.
- Conduct onsite time studies, capacity assessments, and layout optimization activities in service centers.
- Ensure all process improvements align with Lucid's global standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong expertise in process engineering, Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
- Advanced process mapping, PFMEA, and control plan development skills.
- Strong analytical capability with experience using operational KPIs and systems (DMS, ERP, technical portals).
- Proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools, and Excel.
- Engineering mindset with high attention to detail and structured execution.
- Strong cross functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into practical service operations.
- Results oriented, adaptable, and continuous improvement driven.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering.
