Senior Testing & Commissioning Manager – PV Inverter Specialist
Location

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Family status available)
We are seeking a Senior Testing & Commissioning Manager to lead inverter commissioning activities across utility-scale solar PV projects.
You will serve as the technical authority for inverter systems, ensuring safe energization, grid-code compliance, reliable operation, and seamless integration with PPC, SCADA, and grid infrastructure.
This is a high-impact role spanning engineering review, commissioning, troubleshooting, grid compliance testing, and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities- Review inverter system designs, SLDs, protection philosophies, and communication architectures
- Lead inverter pre-energization, synchronization, and power ramp-up activities
- Coordinate commissioning with PPC, SCADA, protection, and utility teams
- Conduct LVRT/HVRT, power factor, reactive capability, and power quality testing
- Diagnose inverter derating, nuisance trips, communication failures, and grid-related issues
- Perform root cause analysis using logs, oscillography, and trend data
- Prepare commissioning reports and support O&M handover
- 12+ years of utility-scale solar PV commissioning experience
- Expert knowledge of central and string inverter technologies
- Strong understanding of power electronics and inverter control strategies
- Experience with grid-code compliance and utility acceptance testing
- OEM commissioning experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
- Lead commissioning of some of the world's largest solar PV projects
- Become the technical authority on inverter technologies and grid integration
- Work at the forefront of renewable energy innovation
