We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to lead cost planning, monitoring, and reporting across large-scale landscape and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role will play a key part in ensuring financial efficiency, budget compliance, and proactive cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
- Establish cost baselines aligned with project scope and contractual requirements
- Support tendering teams with cost data, benchmarking, and historical analysis
- Track project costs against budget and identify variances
- Prepare periodic cost reports, including earned value analysis (EVA)
- Monitor commitments, expenditures, and forecast final project costs
- Support contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders
- Evaluate subcontractor payments and progress valuations
- Assist in cost impact assessments for design changes and site conditions
- Prepare detailed cost reports for internal management and clients
- Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, and procurement teams
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs
- Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Participate in value engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency
- Ensure cost control processes align with project objectives and timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- 8–12 years of experience in cost control within construction projects
- Proven experience in landscape, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects in Saudi Arabia
- Strong knowledge of cost control systems, budgeting, and forecasting
- Familiarity with contracts (FIDIC preferred) and commercial practices
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost control/reporting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, or similar)
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- Experience working on major projects (e.g.,
ROSHN, NHC, Qiddiya, or similar giga-projects
) - Background in contractor or EPC environments
