• Strong experience in refinery process engineering, preferably CDU operations and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of distillation, heat exchanger trains, fired heaters, desalters, columns, pumps and compressors.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, operating procedures, equipment datasheets and process control philosophy.
• Knowledge of process safety, design limits, Integrity Operating Windows and relevant API, ASME and TEMA practices.
• Exposure to steady state process simulations, heat and material balance.
• Well aware about engineering calculations for efficiency, duty, energy calculations.
• Ability to translate engineering knowledge into monitoring logic, calculations, recommendations and acceptance criteria.

• Exposure to dynamic process simulation, digital twins or advanced process control.
• Understanding of refinery historians, LIMS and operational data structures.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary IT, OT, data and AI teams.
