The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the technical delivery, coordination, and constructability of all electrical works within the Design & Build project, including power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, and associated infrastructure.
Reporting to the MEPF Design / Technical Manager, the role ensures that all electrical design and construction activities are aligned with contract requirements, authority regulations, program constraints, safety standards, and site execution needs.
The role acts as the discipline lead for electrical works, responsible for reviewing and approving design outputs, supporting construction delivery, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that design intent is effectively translated into buildable, coordinated, and high-quality site execution.

- Review and approve electrical design outputs including drawings, models, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements, contract documents, codes, standards, and authority regulations.
- Identify and resolve design clashes, constructability issues, and interface risks across disciplines.
- Ensure full coordination of electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other building systems.
- Validate buildability, safety, system performance, and operational suitability of electrical installations.

Site & Construction Support (Electrical)- Provide day-to-day electrical engineering leadership on site, addressing RFIs, technical queries, and construction challenges.
- Review electrical works (power, lighting, ELV, earthing, containment systems) to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify and resolve site issues, deviations, and non-conformances in coordination with project teams.
- Coordinate electrical activities with other disciplines to avoid clashes and execution conflicts.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of electrical systems.
- Provide technical direction and input to resolve site issues and maintain construction progress.

Shop Drawings, Submittals & As-Built Management- Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent.
- Provide clear, coordinated, and timely technical comments to support approvals and construction progress.
- Verify that approved drawings and materials are correctly implemented on site.
- Oversee preparation, review, and validation of electrical as-built drawings and records.
- Support tracking and close-out of submittals and technical comments.

Technical Queries, RFIs & NCR Management- Lead responses to RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and site clarifications related to electrical works.
- Oversee investigation, reporting, and close-out of NCRs and quality issues.
- Propose practical, buildable electrical solutions to site challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of technical decisions and communications.

Design Management & Stakeholder Coordination- Support planning and monitoring of electrical design deliverables in line with project program requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of design information.
- Represent the electrical discipline in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Escalate risks and critical issues with clear technical recommendations.

- Contribute to lessons learned related to electrical systems, constructability, and project delivery.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to electrical engineers and site staff.
- Promote best practices in electrical construction quality, safety, and execution.
