Electrical BIM Modeler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models for electrical systems in accordance with project requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and company standards. The role involves producing high-quality Revit models, preparing construction documentation, participating in multidisciplinary coordination, and supporting clash detection and design coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
- Model electrical systems including:
- Power Distribution
- Lighting Systems
- Emergency Lighting
- Small Power
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Public Address (PA)
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Data & Communication Systems
- Lightning Protection
- Earthing & Bonding Systems
- Produce coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, and construction documentation.
- Generate schedules, quantities, and material take-offs directly from BIM models.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Civil disciplines.
- Participate in clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks Manage.
- Resolve clashes and modeling issues in coordination with engineers and BIM Coordinators.
- Ensure all models comply with project BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Update BIM models based on design revisions, RFIs, and site changes.
- Maintain proper model organization, worksets, shared coordinates, and file management.
- Support the production of As-Built models upon project completion.
- Ensure timely delivery of BIM deliverables while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP for electrical modeling.
- Proven experience in developing LOD 400 electrical BIM models.
- Experience in preparing electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and sheet production.
- Hands-on experience with clash detection and multidisciplinary BIM coordination using Navisworks
- Experience in creating and managing Revit electrical families.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, and installation practices.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and project documentation requirements.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English
