Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of air compressor service engineers fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring efficient task delegation
- Oversee the planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules and reactive repairs for a diverse range of air compressor systems
- Diagnose complex technical issues with air compressors providing expert guidance and hands-on support to resolve them effectively
- Manage spare parts inventory and workshop resources to ensure timely availability for service operations and minimize downtime
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the technical skills and product knowledge of the service engineering team
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all service activities and site operations
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for key clients building strong relationships and addressing their air compressor needs
- Analyze service data and performance metrics to identify trends implement improvements and optimize service delivery
- Coordinate with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of service support for new installations and upgrades
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members supporting their professional development
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in servicing and repairing industrial air compressors.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a technical service environment.
- Certification in air compressor technology or relevant mechanical systems is highly advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of various compressor types (rotary screw, centrifugal, reciprocating) and their associated components.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex machinery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and interact with clients.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and interpreting technical schematics and manuals.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting best practices in health and safety.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required and work flexible hours to meet operational demands.
