AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer
- Design in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for an Electrical and Power Generation role focused on designing, developing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems and components. The position requires strong electrical design capability, technical analysis, simulation, and coordination skills to deliver solutions that comply with project specifications, applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components using appropriate CAD and simulation tools.
• Conduct technical analyses and feasibility studies to assess design concepts and performance parameters.
• Prepare detailed schematics, technical drawings, and supporting documentation for manufacturing and implementation.
• Perform circuit simulations and modeling to validate designs and optimize performance before production.
• Develop schematic designs and support PCB layout development.
• Apply electrical design principles, circuit theory, and power distribution knowledge throughout design activities.
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective measures to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and organized electrical design documentation for project traceability.

The position requires close collaboration with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to support the integration of electrical components within wider systems. The Electrical Engineer will also review vendor specifications and proposed components for compatibility with design requirements, participate in project planning and scheduling activities, and coordinate technical inputs required to meet project deadlines.

• Review electrical designs against relevant codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Apply applicable IEC, IEEE, or regional electrical standards.
• Maintain clear technical documentation supporting design decisions and verification.
• Evaluate design performance using electrical simulation and analysis tools.
• Support design verification and technical reviews throughout project development.

• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent design tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, circuit theory, and power distribution systems.
• Experience using electrical simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar applications.
• Demonstrated experience in schematic design and PCB layout development.
• Solid understanding of IEC, IEEE, or equivalent electrical standards and codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Experience with project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strong organizational capability and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Effective technical communication and presentation skills.
