Senior Structural Engineer, Mining

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable “Senior Structural Engineer, Mining”. You’ll join our collaborative Mining team, working alongside multidisciplinary professionals to deliver practical, innovative solutions for complex mining projects.

• Perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations per the applicable codes and standards in the mining and heavy industrial sector.
• Prepare sketches and collaborate with the designers to produce detailed drawings.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and scope documents.
• Undertake the detailed working drawings of steel, concrete, wood and masonry.
• Implement the safety and integrity principles in structural documentation.

• Minimum 15+ years project engineering, design and construction experience in surface and underground mining.
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Design and construction experience in heavy industry with experience in structural inspection & assessment.
• Strong hands‑on experience in the analysis and design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, building and heavy equipment foundations preferably in mining. Experience in environmental structures considered an asset.
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Regulations. Knowledge of mining‑related processes a definite asset.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for Structural Analysis and Design.
• Sound understanding of design, Saudi engineering codes and technical standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.), CAD, and BIM tools.
• Experience in writing technical reports, specifications and in preparing the material take‑offs for Cost Estimates.

• Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.)
• Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
• Positively contributes to EXP and local office culture.
