DAO-Badranis seeking a technically capable and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with a strongunderstandingof building electrical systems, design principles and engineering standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for diverse building projects, ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance and effective coordination with other disciplines. The role involves supporting electrical design activities from initial design development through technical documentation, coordination and construction support.

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for building projects in accordance with applicable local and international codes, standards and engineering practices.
• Prepare and develop electrical design drawings, layouts, schematics and technical documentation under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Support the preparation of electrical design calculations including load estimation, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, lighting, earthing and lightning protection calculations.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, design reports and other engineering documentation.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for electrical systems and components.
• Coordinate with the drafting team to ensure the accuracy, completeness and compliance of electrical drawings with approved design requirements.
• Review electrical drawings and ensure proper integration with architectural, structural, mechanical and other building systems.
• Support the design and coordination of power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and low-current / ELV systems.
• Apply electrical design software and calculation tools to develop accurate and efficient engineering solutions.
• Utilize BIM tools particularly Revit MEP for electrical modelling, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Assist in reviewing electrical shop drawings, material submittals and technicalsubmissions.
• Coordinate with supervision engineers and other project stakeholders to address technical queries and design-related issues.
• Support the maintenance of design quality and compliance with DAO quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Ensure assigned deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules,technical requirements and DAO standards.
• Participate in professional development, technical training and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringor a closely related engineering discipline.
• Three to six years of relevant professional experience in building electrical design.
• Previous experience with an accredited engineering consultancy firm.
