We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Finance Operations professional to support the end-to-end processing of trade transactions. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate handling of trade finance products such as Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees, Collections, and Bills for Trade, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and handle trade finance transactions including:
  • Issuance, amendment, and settlement of Letters of Credit (LCs)
  • Bank Guarantees and Standby LCs
  • Documentary Collections and Bills for Collection
  • Ensure transactions are executed in compliance with UCP 600, URDG, ISBP, URC and other applicable regulations
  • Liaise with clients, banks, and internal departments (relationship managers, compliance, treasury, etc.)
  • Review and validate trade documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor and track the status of transactions and follow up on pending documents
  • Prepare SWIFT messages for trade transactions (MT7XX series)
  • Handle discrepancy checking, negotiation, and settlement of export/import documents
  • Work with auditors and compliance teams to provide documentation as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on international trade regulations and sanctions policies
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Banking, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in trade finance operations (bank or corporate setting preferred)
  • Strong understanding of international trade products and regulatory frameworks (UCP, URC, ISBP, URDG)
  • Familiarity with SWIFT messages and trade finance systems (e.g., Finastra, Surecomp, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Preferred Certifications
  • CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)
  • CITF (Certificate in International Trade and Finance)
