To conduct and execute deals on behalf of the Bank/customers in order to ensure maximum return on foreign currency/liquidity excess within defined risk parameters and to protect the Bank against exchange rate fluctuations in adherence with Riyad bank policies, procedures and guidelines.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY- Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Executes Foreign Exchange / Money Market / Investment / Structured Corporate Sales deals on behalf of customers and the Bank (to cover positions) and ensures deals are conducted on a timely basis to safeguard the Bank against adverse fluctuations and any potential risk.
- Ensures maximum return on foreign currency and liquidity excess within defined risk parameters and in adherence with Riyad Bank policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Conducts deals with approved 3rd parties and within daily market and trading limit.
- Ensures funds are available to settle customer/internal obligations at any point in time by holding adequate cash and liquid assets.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with authorized counter parties and brokers in order to promote dealing expediency.
- Monitors and analyses Foreign Exchange / Money Market / Investment/Corporate Sales and modifies daily rates when required.
- Conducts analysis and monitors the market trends and the effects of socio-economic factors on those trends in order to proactively develop appropriate trading positions.
- Uses maturity reports to identify deals that need to be renewed to ensure effectiveness in the decision‑making process.
- Consolidated the required market data, information and analysis to ensure effective decision making.
- Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance
- 6-8 years relevant experience in Trading and Treasury related activities.
- Mid‑Senior level
