The Collection
Specialist is responsible for managing collection activities with a high level of efficiency by overseeing the collection process and ensuring compliance with payment schedules in accordance with approved policies. This role contributes to reducing delinquency rates and improving cash flow through effective communication with customers, analysis of collection data, and taking appropriate actions to address overdue accounts, while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and financial governance.
- Propose solutions to enhance collection of mechanisms and reduce credit risks.
- Document all collection actions and communications in accordance with approved procedures.
- Maintain and regularly update customer data and collection records with accuracy.
- Coordinate with relevant departments (Finance, Sales, Legal) to manage cases in all their details.
- Contribute to the development of collection templates and reports and improve data quality.
- Prepare periodic reports on collection status and performance.
- Coordinate with the sales team to address customer feedback that impacts collections.
- Communicate with customers to remind them of payment due dates and resolve delays.
- Handle customers' financial objections and provide appropriate solutions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure the collection of outstanding balances in line with approved schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a related field.
- Experience in using financial systems and ERP systems.
- A professional certification related to accounting or collections is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to collections.
- Strong communication skills with a high ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Basic knowledge of collection procedures and financial systems.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics in handling financial information.
- Time management and the ability to organize priorities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
