Job Summary
The Treasury Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the company’s treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships. This role ensures the availability of funds to meet operational and strategic needs, monitors cash flows, and enforces compliance with financial policies. The position requires close coordination with finance, accounting, and business units to optimize the use of financial resources and minimize risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash & Liquidity Management:
- Supervise daily cash operations and ensure sufficient liquidity for business activities.
- Monitor inflows and outflows to maintain optimal cash balances.
- Oversee cash forecasting and ensure alignment with budget and financial plans.
- Manage short-term investments and borrowing facilities to maximize returns and minimize costs.
Banking & Treasury Operations:
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure timely processing of payments, fund transfers, and collections.
- Negotiate banking terms, fees, and facilities to support company objectives.
- Manage and monitor all banking facilities (overdrafts, loans, credit lines) to ensure proper utilization.
- Coordinate with banks to arrange new facilities and renew existing ones in line with company needs.
- Supervise issuance, renewal, and cancellation of bank guarantees (performance bonds, advance payment guarantees, letters of credit).
- Track facility limits, maturities, and guarantee exposures, and report regularly to management.
- Support negotiations with banks to optimize facility costs and terms.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposures and recommend hedging strategies where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, treasury policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard company funds by implementing secure payment and authorization processes.
- Support audit requirements by maintaining accurate and audit-ready treasury records.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports for management.
- Provide analysis of treasury performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support financial planning by providing insights into liquidity and funding needs.
- Assist in scenario planning and stress testing for treasury operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Relevant professional qualification i.e., CPT, CFA, CMA or similar is a plus).
- Experience: 6–9 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or corporate finance (preferably in manufacturing, Real‑estate development, or retail).
- Professional qualification: Relevant professional qualification i.e., CMA, CFA or similar is a plus.
- Language: Both English and Arabic language skills required (Read, Speak, Write).
- Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of treasury operations, ERP systems (preferably Odoo), advanced Excel, and cash flow modeling. - Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, leadership, and ability to coordinate across departments.
