Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager Tax & Zakat, to manage and oversee day-to-day tax and zakat activities across assigned countries. This role will provide strategic tax advisory and compliance support to the Holding Company and project entities, ensuring full compliance with local and international tax regulations while safeguarding the company’s commercial interests.

This is a high-impact regional role offering exposure to complex international tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

• Manage regional tax matters including ZAKAT, corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, RETT
  , and Pillar Two regulations
• Provide day-to-day tax support to regional offices and project companies
• Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable local tax laws and filing requirements
• Handle complex tax matters and liaise with Zakat and Income Tax Authorities

• Design, implement, and enhance tax and zakat controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
• Assess tax impacts on international operations and develop compliant, tax-efficient solutions
• Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Review Zakat, tax, and withholding tax returns across entities
• Prepare and present periodic tax risk, issue, and exposure reports to senior management
• Develop and implement tax-efficient transfer pricing policies
• Maintain robust transfer pricing documentation in line with local and OECD requirements

• Coordinate with internal finance teams, regional offices, and shared service centers
• Work closely with external advisors, legal counsel, and tax consultants
• Support business development initiatives from a tax and structuring perspective
• Engage with government affairs teams and industry groups on tax and zakat matters
• Oversee tax activities supported by the Shared Services Centre
• Ensure adherence to approved tax policies, processes, and procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and tax transformation projects

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, SOCPA); additional tax specialization preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, accounting or similar.
• 5–8 years of strong post-qualification experience in international tax within a Big 4 firm, tax advisory service line, or multinational corporation
• Proven experience managing regional tax matters
  , including ZAKAT, income tax, withholding tax
  , and exposure to Pillar Two
• Knowledge of regional and international tax frameworks, tax treaties, and transfer pricing rules
• Solid understanding of tax accounting matters
• Ability to review and interpret legal and commercial contracts
• Experience supervising and overseeing shared service teams
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience handling Bahrain tax matters is an added advantage
• Sector experience in infrastructure, energy, or renewables is highly advantageous
