Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Analyst

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Controller for SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf, East Africa) region . As the Controller based in Riyadh, you will report to the SAGEA Head of F&A.

The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient support in various areas including Planning, Reporting, Business Partnering, and Controlling.

• o Communicate planning, guidelines, timelines, targets, and relevant data to stakeholders.
• o Provide financial impact and analysis of assumption set to the business.
• o Support review meetings by generating overviews, analysis, and business support.
• o Ensure timely submission of data in appropriate systems.

• o Implement, align, and execute guidance provided by the regional controlling team.
• o Provide operational business support with pricing, discount, and profitability analysis.
• o Make recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships.
• o Collect, interpret, and provide data for decision-making processes.
• o Connect relevant functions in OPU and ROPU for better communication and process efficiency.

• o Process accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers.
• o Coordinate data collection from relevant resources.
• o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
• o Perform month-end routines, checks, reconciliations, and analysis.
• o Provide periodical financial information and comments for OPU management.

• o Work on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
• o Support ROPU controlling team on an ad hoc basis.

• o Build and maintain external and internal network connections.
• o Acquire and maintain relevant know-how and technical expertise.

• o Oversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) in Business Administration / Economics and/or Diploma degree

• 5 - 6 Years of Finance and Business Controlling experience, preferably in a multi-national Pharmaceutical organization and/or Big Four Accounting Firms.

• Experience using SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Reporting tools.

• Project management experience is a must.

• Knowledge of IFRS, CPA/SOCPA is preferred.

• Language requirements:
  English is a must;
  Arabic is preferred.

• Strong business acumen.

• Comprehensive understanding of finance.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
