Government Relations Officer

The Government Relations Officer will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with government entities in Riyadh to facilitate the company's business operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with local regulations, liaising with government officials, and serving as the primary contact for all governmental affairs.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders to advocate for the company's interests.
• Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the company's operations.
• Prepare and submit necessary documents for permits, licenses, and other governmental approvals.
• Coordinate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure the company's operations align with local regulations.
• Represent the company at governmental meetings and functions, promoting the company's initiatives and addressing any concerns.
• Provide guidance to management on government relations strategies and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of engagements and correspondence with government officials.
• Assist in crisis management and communication with governmental entities when required.

• Work closely with various departments to align the company’s goals with governmental policies.
• Collaborate with industry associations and coalitions to advocate for favorable policies.

• Degree in Political Science, Public Relations, or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in government relations or public affairs
• Strong understanding of government processes and local regulations
• Excellent networking skills with governmental and regulatory bodies
• Proficient in communication, negotiation, and presentation
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory
• Experience in the agro-food sector will be an advantage
