The Director – Strategic Foresight & National Economic Planning will be responsible for steering the organization towards achieving its long-term economic objectives through advanced strategic foresight methodologies and comprehensive national economic planning. This role necessitates a deep understanding of macroeconomic principles, data analysis, and policy development, coupled with an ability to anticipate future economic trends and their implications for the organization and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering innovation and collaboration while driving initiatives that align with the organization's vision. The incumbent must possess exceptional analytical skills, adeptly interpreting complex economic data and effectively communicating insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders. The Director will also engage in strategic partnerships, advocating for evidence-based policies that support sustainable economic growth and ensure that the organization's priorities are responsive to evolving national and global economic conditions.
- A Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a PhD is highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in economic planning, strategic foresight, or related fields, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including econometric modeling and data analytics.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that successfully address complex economic challenges at a national scale.
- Strong understanding of government policy-making processes, economic frameworks, and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to communicate complex economic concepts and strategies, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences, including policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering collaborative working environments.
- Robust strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to anticipate future trends and effectively adapt strategic plans accordingly.
- Strong networking skills with experience in building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry leaders.

- Lead the development and execution of the organization's strategic foresight initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall economic planning objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of national and global economic trends, providing actionable insights to inform organizational strategies and policy recommendations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify emerging economic challenges and opportunities, developing comprehensive strategic plans that address these issues.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of economists and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to national economic planning, representing the organization at conferences, policy discussions, and stakeholder engagements.
- Prepare and deliver high-level reports and presentations to senior leadership and external stakeholders, clearly articulating findings and strategic recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations to advance the organization’s economic objectives and enhance its influence in policy discussions.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of economic policies and initiatives, and make recommendations for adjustments based on performance metrics and changing economic conditions.
