Job Summary
WSP in the Middle East is seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Relations Officer Saudi National to join our team in Riyadh. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated Saudi national to deliver key government relations functions while working in a collaborative high‑performance environment.
Responsibilities- Support day‑to‑day interactions with government entities, ensuring timely follow‑up on applications, approvals, and inquiries.
- Assist with processing and renewal of company licenses and registrations, maintaining accurate records.
- Handle employee visa and iqama processes, including applications, renewals, and cancellations in line with established procedures.
- Update and manage employment contracts through the Qiwa system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard requirements.
- Follow established guidelines to support compliance with Saudi labor laws and government regulations.
- Assist in preparing documentation and coordinating on labor‑related matters where required.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and reports using basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Provide general administrative support, including document collection, filing, and submissions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather required information and ensure smooth processing of government‑related services.
- Maintain professional working relationships with government representatives.
- Saudi National with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role, preferably within the engineering, construction, or consulting sectors.
- A strong track record of independently managing internal and external stakeholders, including cross‑functional teams and government bodies.
- The ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast‑moving, high‑demand environment.
- Deep understanding of Saudi governmental systems, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for efficient data and process management.
- High level of professionalism and discretion in handling legal and regulatory matters.
