• Senior official for disaster and crisis management.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Implementing policies, procedures, strategies, guidelines, frameworks and tools related to disaster and crisis management.
• Updating emergency response plans and implementing the necessary procedures, resources, capabilities and capacities for emergency and crisis management.
• Operating the Disaster and Crisis Center around the clock, monitoring and tracking all reports, operations and activities related to the center’s work, and communicating with relevant internal and external parties.
• Developing and monitoring key control indicators for risk prevention, mitigation and protection, preparing related reports, and being familiar with early warning and alert systems that enable timely action to reduce disaster risks.
• Identifying the requirements and priorities in providing the necessary resources, capabilities and capacities to enhance the process of preparedness for emergencies, crises and disasters at the level of the organization.
• Employing readiness indicators to measure resilience in the face of emergencies, crises, and disasters.
• Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the execution of plans developed to address emergencies, crises, and disasters.
• Supervising the design and implementation of appropriate hypothetical exercises in line with approved policies and plans.
• Drawing lessons learned after the completion of hypothetical exercises, emergency situations, crises, or disasters.
• Use appropriate measurement tools to assess the effectiveness of emergency plans.
  Identify gaps to implement necessary improvements in emergency plans related to resources, capabilities, and capacities.
