Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Supervises and facilitates the work of the Patient Relations Representatives.
- Schedules and evaluates staff performance.
- Coordinates the daily work activities of the Patient Relations Representatives.
- Changes work assignments to meet changing requirements and conditions.
- Conducts weekly rounds on patients’ units and ensures staff coverage and performance are adequate.
- Coordinates and assists in new employees’ orientation.
- Reviews staff’s daily work and takes necessary actions to ensure optimum service level.
- Prepares reports and maintains records of staff productivity and areas of concern.
- Provides input to the Department Head regarding performance of Patient Relations Representatives.
- Receives patients and responds to their inquiries and complaints, liaising with concerned departments to achieve satisfactory solutions.
- Acts to educate staff and physicians concerning patients’ needs and expectations.
- Keeps record of all complaints and related correspondence, prepares official response for management review and finalization.
- Collects and administers patient satisfaction data, utilizing feedback to facilitate system improvements to better meet patients’ needs.
- Provides patients/significant others with feedback on issues of concern.
- Participates in emphasizing and implementation of hospital approved standards and governmental laws pertaining to patients’ rights and issues.
- Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
- Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related disciplines is required.
Experience
Required:
Three (3) years of rated experience with Master’s, or five (5) years with Bachelor’s is required.
Other Requirements: Saudi Nationals only.
