Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Supervises and facilitates the work of the Patient Relations Representatives.
  • Schedules and evaluates staff performance.
  • Coordinates the daily work activities of the Patient Relations Representatives.
  • Changes work assignments to meet changing requirements and conditions.
  • Conducts weekly rounds on patients’ units and ensures staff coverage and performance are adequate.
  • Coordinates and assists in new employees’ orientation.
  • Reviews staff’s daily work and takes necessary actions to ensure optimum service level.
  • Prepares reports and maintains records of staff productivity and areas of concern.
  • Provides input to the Department Head regarding performance of Patient Relations Representatives.
  • Receives patients and responds to their inquiries and complaints, liaising with concerned departments to achieve satisfactory solutions.
  • Acts to educate staff and physicians concerning patients’ needs and expectations.
  • Keeps record of all complaints and related correspondence, prepares official response for management review and finalization.
  • Collects and administers patient satisfaction data, utilizing feedback to facilitate system improvements to better meet patients’ needs.
  • Provides patients/significant others with feedback on issues of concern.
  • Participates in emphasizing and implementation of hospital approved standards and governmental laws pertaining to patients’ rights and issues.
  • Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
  • Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related disciplines is required.

Experience

Required:

Three (3) years of rated experience with Master’s, or five (5) years with Bachelor’s is required.

Other Requirements: Saudi Nationals only.
