About The Role

• Yassir is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist, of any level, to join our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team and contribute to key projects, such as Dynamic Pricing and Trip Dispatching. You will analyze and model data to optimize ML systems. This role blends predictive modelling and software development to drive solutions and value for Yassir.

• The AI team is part of Yassir’s central Data & AI domain, responsible for all data-related activities—from Data Engineering, Data Platform management and Data Analytics to AI solutions and MLOps infrastructure. We are a global team of Data and AI/ML experts with diverse backgrounds. We strive to build state-of-the-art data and ML infrastructure and solutions, and to foster a data-driven culture backed by responsible data access and automation.

• Become an expert point of contact and thought leader on your scope by mastering the details and principles pertaining to it.
• Focus areas include: optimizing Pricing capabilities (Dynamic/Surge Pricing, Discounts/Commissioning Optimization, Personalised Pricing), Dispatching, Fraud Detection/Revenue Leakage Prevention, and Recommendations/Personalization.
• Identify and propose ML opportunities related to your scope and beyond.
• Support requirements definition and prioritization of ML projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Engineering and Product teams.
• Champion Data Quality as a critical input to ML solutions and Analytics.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis and subsequent Feature Selection/Engineering.
• Utilize statistical and ML techniques for model training; validate and tune models.
• Visualize analysis/results with meaningful metrics and insights.
• Deploy and test ML applications using MLOps infrastructure; monitor models for technical performance and data drift.
• Explain technical solutions in business terms to support Product teams.
• Maintain and improve technical documentation of delivered solutions.
• Support the Data & AI domain in developing capabilities and collaboration with dependent teams.
• Champion Data Culture and share knowledge across teams.

• Solid mathematical/statistical/Machine Learning and software development skills, supported by a Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, ML, Operations Research, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics).
• Proficiency in production-quality Python and SQL with at least 2 years of industry experience (senior roles may require more).
• Understanding of code/memory profiling, optimization, scalability, testing, and cost optimization.
• Strong statistical concepts, including statistical testing and causal analysis.
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, and an engineering mindset for robust applied data science solutions.
• Visualization skills with Python libraries and/or Analytics/BI tooling.
• Familiarity with Cloud solutions and their data/ML services;
  Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is highly preferred.
• End-to-end ML model development lifecycle expertise.
• Excellent communication skills in professional English (oral and written).
• Positive attitude, resilience, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently with effective project management.

• Experience with On-demand, Mobility, or Financial Services companies.
• Experience on ML features for Digital Products (apps, websites).
• Experience in pricing/economics, fraud detection, dispatching, or personalization projects; econometrics background is a plus.
