The Infrastructure Specialist designs, installs, configures, tests, monitors, supports, and troubleshoots Local and Wide Area Networks. Administers and manages Cisco routers, switches, ASA appliances and F5 load balancers. Performs router/switch network hardware/software upgrades. Provides IP Addressing Strategy - NAT, Re-Addressing. Performs WAN - IP Routed Network Integration. Prepares work orders containing instructions to be used by technicians to configure network hardware and software.
Performs diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot faulty modules, troubleshoot network problems and outages and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken. Works with customer technical teams to provide solutions for customers' internetworking communications requirements.
- Upgrading, Install, configure, and maintain server systems infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
- Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and availability of systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backups.
- Inventory and Asset Management:
Ensure all assets are documented and tracked for lifecycle management. - Maintain inventory of physical servers, virtual servers, and IT appliances.
- Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
- Ensure systems are compliant with relevant standards.
- Provide support for internal users, including troubleshooting server, software.
- Manage service requests and incidents, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Office 365).
- Manage and monitor virtual environments.
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud and virtual resources.
- Implement and maintain backup solutions for critical systems and data.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or related discipline required.
- Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Microsoft Networking, Telecommunication, or Cisco Certifications preferred.
- 5 years of experience supporting Local and Wide Area Networks required.
