"The Job Description"

Install, configure, and maintain Open Shift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.

Monitor cluster health, performance, and security, addressing issues proactively.

Implement and manage Open Shift upgrades and patches.

Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Open Shift and Open Shift Data Foundation (formerly Open Shift Container Storage).

Strong knowledge of Ceph, Rook, and persistent storage concepts.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud‑native applications.

Support the deployment and management of containerized applications within Open Shift.

Configure and manage container networking, storage, and security policies.

Experience working with Kubernetes OKE on Public Cloud.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment using IAC like Terraform, monitoring, and management tasks.

Utilize tools like Ansible, Helm, or custom scripts to streamline operations.

Implement security best practices for Open Shift environments, including RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability management.

Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.

Provide troubleshooting and resolution support for issues related to Open Shift clusters and containerized applications.

Collaborate with application developers and other teams to resolve performance and operational issues.

Create and maintain detailed documentation for Open Shift configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Provide training and support to team members and end‑users as needed.

Analyze and optimize cluster performance and resource utilization.

Implement scaling strategies to handle varying loads and ensure high availability.

Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor infrastructure performance and implement auto‑scaling and self‑healing mechanisms.

Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) with Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform.
Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration.
Knowledge of Automation Tools such as IAC Terraform and Configuration Management as Ansible.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, etc.).
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
Understanding of networking concepts, storage solutions, and security best practices in containerized environments.

Certifications (Required 2 or more)
