Network Security Engineer L2

The L2 Network Security Engineer is responsible for operating, supporting, and maintaining network security infrastructure. This role involves implementing security controls, handling L2 incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate network security solutions to maintain stability and ensure high availability.
• Ensure the effectiveness of network security solutions across all environments.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for network security components. Ensure adherence to SLAs for network security support across departments and projects.
• Provide Level 2 security support for the company's operations, maintenance, and managed services projects.
• Monitor and respond to network security incidents, escalating complex cases to L3.
• Troubleshoot security issues and work towards permanent resolution Ensure prompt resolution.
• network security support tickets for internal teams and projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory security controls and company policies.
• Maintain and review network security logs regularly to detect anomalies.
• Follow and implement best practices for security operations and processes.
• Execute the specific projects/ tasks assigned by the management from time to time as per business needs, with in the allocated time frame.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in network security monitoring and support.
• Certifications (preferred):
  CCNA Security, CEH
  .
• Strong troubleshooting and operational experience in security incidents.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and security frameworks.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
