Oracle Application Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Application Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability and performance of Oracle applications in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Forms, Reports, SQL, PLSQL, and integration using Web Services on Web Logic.

• Provide support for Oracle applications in production and development environments.
• Develop and maintain Oracle Forms, Reports, database procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis in high availability environments.
• Configure and optimize Oracle Forms and Reports.
• Manage SQL and PLSQL development, database coding, and documentation.
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization.
• Implement database backup, recovery, and auditing procedures.
• Support integrations using Web Services and EJB, preferably on Web Logic.
• Manage Incident Management and Problem Management processes according to ITIL standards.
• Handle service requests and deploy database/application objects.
• Test new releases and ensure successful deployment in production environments.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Oracle Application Support Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience with Oracle Forms.
• Strong understanding of Forms & Reports configuration.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL & PLSQL.
• Experience in Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
• Experience in high availability and mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of database backup, recovery, auditing, and journaling.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and DB objects.
• Experience with Web Services and EJB integrations on Web Logic.
• Knowledge of ITIL, including Incident & Problem Management.
• Ability to test and deploy new releases in production.
