IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst, Cybersecurity
Overview
Job Purpose The Technology Project Management Office (PMO) acts as the central coordination hub for all IT&T activities of the Games. This role ensures that the entire technology program, (covering Games Systems, Venue Technology, TSR, Cybersecurity, and Integrations) is properly planned, tracked, and delivered on time. In a high-pressure event environment, the PMO is responsible for turning complex interdependencies into a clear and actionable plan.
The PMO provides visibility to LOC leadership, OCA, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with international standards while adapting to the unique context of the Games.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Responsibilities- Planning & Governance
- Develop, maintain, and continuously update the IT Master Plan and High-Level Master Plan (HLMP), ensuring alignment of milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path activities across all IT domains.
- Establish PMO governance frameworks, standards, and reporting rhythms to support consistent execution in a fast-paced Games environment.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track progress across all technology work streams and produce regular dashboards, reports, and executive summaries for LOC leadership and OCA.
- Ensure accurate visibility of schedule status, risks, issues, and dependencies, enabling timely decision-making.
- Workgroup & Stakeholder Coordination
- Establish, facilitate, and coordinate cross-functional work groups (e.g., Venue Technology, Sports Systems, Integration, Risk Management) involving vendors, OCA representatives, and LOC departments.
- Ensure effective communication, clear ownership, and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Drive the technology risk management process, including maintaining the risk register, defining mitigation actions, and managing escalation procedures.
- Proactively identify risks, interdependencies, and constraints that may impact Games readiness or delivery timelines.
- Change Management
- Implement and oversee formal change management procedures, ensuring that changes to scope, cost, timelines, and resources are assessed, documented, approved, and tracked.
- Maintain change logs and support leadership with impact assessments and recommendations.
- Quality Assurance & Standards
- Coordinate quality assurance activities, including validation of deliverables against agreed requirements and alignment with OCA standards.
- Support readiness reviews, gateways, and milestone validations across technology domains.
- Integration & Leadership Support
- Act as the primary link between operational technology managers (e.g., TSR, GMS, Venue Technology, Integration teams) and LOC leadership.
- Provide structure, discipline, and clarity across parallel work streams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of critical activities.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Ensure structured document management and version control processes are in place.
- Maintain a centralized document repository (e.g., SharePoint) for plans, reports, decisions, and approvals.
