Role OverviewWe are seeking a Usability Engineer with deep knowledge in human factors, cognitive psychology, and behavioral UX. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with usability testing methods, accessibility audits, heuristic evaluations, and a track record of translating findings into actionable design improvements. NN/g or HFI certifications are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, conduct, and analyze formative and summative usability studies, including moderated/unmoderated tests
- Perform heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, and accessibility assessments
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product managers to improve user experience based on findings
- Create and maintain usability testing protocols, documentation, and research repositories
- Define and measure usability KPIs (task success rate, error rate, time on task, etc.)
- Advocate for evidence‑based design decisions and usability best practices across teams
- Support the development of design systems and product guidelines with usability input
- Help train and mentor cross‑functional teams on usability principles and tools
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in usability engineering, UX research, or a similar role
- Strong foundation in usability principles and testing methodologies
- Experience with tools like User Testing, Lookback, Maze, Hotjar, Optimal Workshop, or similar
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD
- Strong statistical and analytical skills for interpreting test results
- Experience documenting research and presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design
