ERP QA Engineer

Overview

The ERP QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across finance, procurement, and sales domains. This role focuses on validating end-to-end business processes, integrations, and data flows within the ERP ecosystem and connected systems. Working closely with functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders, the position supports testing activities across the full software delivery lifecycle to ensure successful releases and stable operations.

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases for key ERP functional areas including Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash/Bank, VAT/WHT), Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the ERP platform and integrated systems.
• Validate end-to-end business processes and data flows, including ERP to Core Banking integrations, API/OData/web service interfaces, and file-based integrations.
• Create and manage test data and validate posting results, ledgers, reconciliation logic, and financial outputs based on functional designs.
• Log, track, retest, and close defects using agreed defect management tools, providing clear reproduction steps, evidence, and impact analysis.
• Support release readiness activities including smoke testing and post-deployment verification.
• Assist with data migration and cutover testing, including opening balances, master data, and transactional history where applicable.
• Produce and maintain QA deliverables such as test plans, test scenarios and cases, execution evidence, defect metrics, and test summary reports.
• Coordinate closely with functional consultants, developers, integration teams, infrastructure/DBA teams, and business subject matter experts to resolve issues and ensure test coverage.

• 4+ years of professional experience in ERP QA or ERP testing roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central (BC), or CRM platforms.
• Strong understanding of ERP business processes including Finance, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report.
• Solid experience in manual testing; exposure to test automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, Test Rail, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
