Senior D365 ERP Functional Consultant; FinOps

The D365 Senior Functional Consultant – Finance & Operations (Fin Ops) is responsible for delivering, validating, and ensuring the quality of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions across core ERP domains including Finance, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report. This role combines deep functional expertise with strong hands‑on testing experience to validate end-to-end business processes, integrations, and financial outcomes within the D365 ecosystem and connected systems.

Working closely with business stakeholders, developers, integration teams, and QA resources, the consultant supports solution design, testing, and release activities across the full project lifecycle to ensure successful implementations and stable operations.

• Lead functional design, validation, and testing for D365 Finance & Operations
  , covering:
• Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash/Bank, VAT/WHT)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases for key ERP functional areas including Financials, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Perform and support functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the D365 platform and integrated systems.
• Validate end-to-end business processes and data flows
  , including:
• D365 to Core Banking integrations
• API / OData / web service interfaces
• File-based integrations
  
  Create, manage, and validate test data, including financial postings, ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting outputs based on functional designs.
• Log, track, retest, and support closure of defects using agreed defect management tools, providing clear functional analysis and business impact.
• Support release readiness activities including smoke testing, go‑live validation, and post‑deployment verification.
• Assist with data migration and cutover testing
  , including opening balances, master data, and transactional data validation.
• Produce and maintain functional and testing deliverables such as test plans, test scenarios and cases, execution evidence, defect metrics, and test summary reports.
• Collaborate closely with developers, integration teams, QA teams, infrastructure/DBA teams, and business SMEs to ensure complete functional and test coverage.

• 6+ years of experience in ERP implementations with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  .
• Proven experience as a Senior Functional Consultant (Fin Ops) with strong hands‑on testing exposure.
• Strong understanding of ERP business processes including:
• Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Tax)
• Procure-to-Pay
• Order-to-Cash
• Solid experience in manual functional testing
  ; exposure to test automation is a plus.
• Experience supporting D365 implementations, upgrades, or enterprise rollouts
  .
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, ALM, Test Rail
  , or similar.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders across complex ERP landscapes.
