Cyber Security Architect - 6 Month Consultancy Contract - Riyadh
*** This is a consultancy contract and we require candidates who are immediately available with a transferable iqama. Candidates in a permanent role with long notice periods cannot be considered. ***
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to act as a trusted interface between clients, delivery teams, and third‑party vendors, ensuring cybersecurity activities are well‑governed, aligned, and delivered effectively across complex programmes.
This is not an implementation role
. The focus is on oversight, facilitation, governance, and assurance of cybersecurity requirements and activities, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity‑related matters across client, internal teams, and external vendors
- Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and reviews with cybersecurity stakeholders
- Ensure clear alignment on cybersecurity scope, expectations, and responsibilities across all parties
- Review and assess cybersecurity requirements from clients and vendors to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with industry best practices
- Identify gaps, conflicts, or ambiguities in requirements and proactively drive resolution
- Validate that security requirements are appropriate, achievable, and correctly reflected in solution designs and delivery plans
- Coordinate and track cybersecurity activities within the wider project delivery framework
- Establish and maintain governance structures, including approvals, dependencies, and decision logging
- Identify cybersecurity risks, issues, and delivery impacts early, driving mitigation and escalation where required
- Work onsite alongside the client’s cybersecurity team to enable close collaboration and timely decision‑making
- Take a proactive approach, anticipating security needs, risks, and interdependencies rather than reacting to issues
- Provide clear, regular updates to programme and project leadership
- Maintain structured and auditable cybersecurity documentation, including requirements, risk registers, decisions, and action logs
- Ensure deliverables are well‑managed, version‑controlled, and traceable
- Support stakeholder alignment through clear, concise, and timely communication
- Strong background in cybersecurity architecture, controls, and risk management
- Hands‑on understanding of cybersecurity tools and practices (knowledgeable rather than delivery‑focused)
- Practical experience with penetration testing, threat modelling, and security assessments
- Proven experience in client‑facing roles within large or complex environments
- Comfortable coordinating across multiple parties (clients, internal teams, vendors, and third parties)
- Solid project and delivery management capability, managing multiple parallel work streams
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness and ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with technical and security teams
