Senior Manager - Network & Security Engineering

Job Description

The role is responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security controls.

He/she protects the organization’s network and data from cyber threats by designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. He/she assesses potential vulnerabilities, responds to security incidents, and ensures compliance with security policies and regulations. He/she plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently.

• Developing the architecture, design, and standards of Network Security controls (Firewalls, Web application firewalls, Cloud Security Access Broker, etc.)
• Provisioning/de-provisioning of network access to applications, infrastructure, and operating systems as per established policy, standards and procedures.
• Leading and participating in activities related to implementation of network security controls.
• Assisting with troubleshooting and problem analysis by working with other teams, vendors or users in diagnosing and resolving network security issues.
• Member of the Security Incident Response Team, actively participating in the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
• Managing daily operations of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure robust network security.
• Developing and enforcing network and cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Ensuring continuous monitoring of network performance and security events, driving proactive incident detection and response.
• Collaborating with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements.
• Leading the evaluation, configuration, and optimization of network and security tools and platforms.
• Overseeing capacity planning, scalability, and high availability of network services.
• Performing any other duties assigned by line manager related to the nature of the work.
• Enforcing, incorporating, and complying with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence and vigilance within departmental/unit activities and operations.

• A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, any CASB.

• 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience in Networking and Network Security, with 2 years of experience in Cloud networking.
• Specialist individual contributor or team lead who has managed and delivered projects.
• Demonstrated expertise and experience with complex technical activities.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies, standards and procedures, and provide consistent and superior customer service.
• Demonstrable knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Strong expertise in network technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking) and security solutions.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
