Systems Administrator

In the capacity of a system administrator, one will engage in many tasks critical to the operational efficacy of the company’s IT infrastructure. Integral components of this role encompass the daily oversight of server workloads, the installation of requisite applications to fulfill network specifications, the execution of routine health assessments of servers, and the resolution of system errors. Prosperity in this position is demonstrated through maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, characterized by security, efficiency, and sustainability.

Resourcefulness is paramount in this role, necessitating the ability to diagnose and swiftly rectify issues and the patience to communicate with various interdisciplinary teams and users effectively. The overarching objective is to guarantee our technological infrastructure's seamless and efficient operation.

• Installation and configuration of Windows servers, AD, DNS, and DHCP
• Install and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments and servers, such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems
• Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.
• Install, configure, and administer Symantec endpoint protection, server, and client
• Install, configure and administer Symantec backup
• Configuration and administration of Microsoft Exchange Online with Microsoft 365.
• Administration of Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Manage and maintain Odoo software.
• Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring analysis and tuning.
• Analyzing system logs and identify potential issues with computer operating systems.
• Applying server and operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes; being responsible for documenting the configuration changes.
• Manage database servers, ensuring data availability and security.
• Perform database backups, recovery, and regular maintenance tasks.
• Responsibility for disaster recovery, closing security loopholes and access levels.
• Manage essential cloud computing services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models.
• Implement and manage Azure/AWS storage with advanced management
• Design and implement Microsoft 365 services, manage user identity and roles, manage access and authentication, plan Office 365 workload and applications
• Implement and launch Microsoft Power Automate on Teams.
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

• Proven experience as a System Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of the TCP / IP protocol suite, security architecture, securing and hardening Operating Systems, Networks, Databases and Applications.
• Experience with Odoo software.
• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Experience in multiple OS platforms with a strong emphasis on Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu), Mac OS X, and Windows systems
• Experience with OS-level scripting environments such as Bourne shell.
• Understanding of SQL databases.
• ERP and POS experience a must.
• Experiences with Microsoft 365 administration, including Dynamics 365, Teams, security, compliance, Exchange, etc.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science.
