IT Specialist (File Maker Expert – or eager to learn)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Claris/File Maker, ITIL, CompTIA) considered an advantage

• Advanced knowledge of File Maker Pro and File Maker Server preferred
• Experience with scripting, calculations, layout design, and relational data modelling in File Maker preferred
• Ability to integrate external APIs and third-party platforms (e.g., REST, JSON, ODBC)
• Strong understanding of data structures and accuracy principles
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure and user account administration (macOS/Windows, networking)
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); applicants with German language skills will be preferred

As one of our largest current projects, bödeker manages the Tree Management Office (TMO), which coordinates the production and planting of millions of trees for Green Riyadh — one of the world’s most ambitious urban greening programs. To keep this complex system running smoothly, we are strengthening our in-house IT team.

At the same time, our internal File Maker-based company database is a vital backbone of our operations — supporting everything from project documentation to team coordination. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced File Maker specialist who can develop and maintain this system while also contributing to the digital infrastructure behind TMO. However, if you have strong programming skills and are eager to learn File Maker — our core platform — we would still love to hear from you.

A willingness to grow into the role is just as important as prior experience.

• Develop, customize, and maintain File Maker applications.
• Create and modify File Maker layouts.
• Troubleshoot File Maker issues and deliver solutions aligned with operational needs through team collaboration.
• Implement new features and enhancements based on departmental requirements.
• Ensure system functionality, stability, and compliance with security standards.
• System integration & data management
• Integrate File Maker with other platforms and third-party software as needed.
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity within File Maker databases.
• Collaborate with departments to support data reporting and system improvements.
• Design and optimize report layouts and calculations.
• General IT support & infrastructure assistance
• Provide technical support for IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide administrative support to streamline IT processes and facilitate team communication, including user onboarding and system setup.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection standards.
