Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Patch Management Expert with hands‑on expertise in Manage Engine Endpoint Central (Desktop Central) or related Manage Engine patching solutions. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of the patch lifecycle across servers and endpoint devices to ensure compliance, security, and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities- Patching: Plan, test, schedule, and deploy OS and third‑party application patches using Manage Engine.
- Administration: Configure, maintain, and optimize Manage Engine Endpoint Central for patch deployment; create custom deployment policies and automate patch approval workflows; generate compliance and vulnerability reports for stakeholders.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure patching aligns with security standards; collaborate with Info Sec and audit teams to address vulnerabilities; track and remediate zero‑day vulnerabilities promptly.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Investigate and resolve patch deployment failures and conflicts; optimize bandwidth and patch distribution using Manage Engine distribution servers; work closely with infrastructure, network, and service desk teams for issue resolution.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed patch management documentation and standard operating procedures; provide regular patch compliance dashboards and reports to management; support IT audits and regulatory compliance checks.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years in IT infrastructure or endpoint management; 2+ years hands‑on experience with Manage Engine Endpoint Central (Desktop Central).
- Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of patch management for Windows, Linux, and macOS; scripting creation and customization; third‑party patching (Adobe, Java, Chrome, etc.); familiarity with SCCM, WSUS, Intune, or other patch tools (a plus); understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem); understanding of government change management policies (CRQ). - Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams; strong communication and reporting skills.
- Preferred
Certifications:
ITIL v4 Foundation;
Microsoft, Linux, or security certifications (MCSA, RHCSA, CompTIA Security+).
