To plan, architect, and design scalable Data Center, AI, and Cloud Infrastructure solutions, while leading transformation, modernization, and migration initiatives.
The role ensures alignment of infrastructure strategies with business demands, enabling efficient, secure, and resilient technology environments.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Plan and develop annual deployment plans, including preparation of CAPEX cycles and supporting governance documents for Data Centers, AI, IT, Telco Cloud infrastructures, and emerging cloud technologies.
Architect and plan deployment of compute, storage, and network components to meet infrastructure requirements across IT and Telco Cloud domains.
Plan and manage the budgeting lifecycle for Data Center and Cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business demand and financial objectives.
Assess and evaluate AI and Cloud Infrastructure technology evolution in alignment with Technology, Strategy, and Architecture functions.
Develop business continuity, resilience, and disaster recovery plans for cloud infrastructure and services in line with risk management requirements.
Analyze existing cloud infrastructure capacity, utilization, and performance using monitoring tools and reports.
Define project scope for Data Center, AI, and Cloud infrastructure initiatives based on demand forecasts, planning assumptions, and utilization analysis.
Participate in the preparation and evaluation of RFXs (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for cloud infrastructure projects in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Develop infrastructure expansion, optimization, modernization, and migration plans for cloud and applications.
Develop, monitor, and maintain infrastructure capacity plans (systems, space, and resources) to meet required service levels.
Prepare and validate CAPEX and OPEX estimates associated with infrastructure deployment plans.
Ensure alignment of deployment plans with business priorities through close coordination with business units and infrastructure operations teams.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and data protection teams to incorporate security requirements and compliance standards into infrastructure design.
Ensure adherence to best practices in availability, scalability, and operational efficiency across all infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
Minimum 12 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with strong exposure to Data Center, AI, IT, and Telco Cloud infrastructure technologies.
Proven experience in IT and Telco Cloud solution architecture, technical leadership, and architecture roadmap planning.
Strong experience working with Communication Service Providers and major technology vendors.
Demonstrated ability to perform architecture analysis, planning, and design activities.
Experience in developing technical designs, operational documentation, and architecture roadmaps.
Strong understanding of availability, scalability, capacity planning, and operational best practices.
Expertise in IT infrastructure, Data Center SDN, virtualization, containers, and security technologies.
Familiarity with Dev Ops tools such as Docker, Open Shift, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
Exposure to network automation and orchestration technologies.
Strong knowledge of Telco Core, IP networks, and network functions virtualization (NFV).
Familiarity with orchestration, management, and virtualization platforms.
Experience with overlay networks and related protocols.
Exposure to Cloudify (TOSCA-based orchestration) and public cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud is an advantage.
Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
Strong analytical skills with experience in executive reporting, dashboards, and presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Arabic is an added advantage.
