Application Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments of applications, systems, and networks to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate application vulnerabilities and enhance overall security.
• Design and enforce security controls to protect applications and sensitive data.
• Collaborate with development teams to promote secure coding practices and ensure application security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and solutions to proactively address potential risks.

• Hands-on experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of application security standards, including OWASP and NIST frameworks.
• Proficiency in secure coding practices and vulnerability management techniques.
• Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate security processes.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex security issues effectively.
