Professional Services Consultant

Within this business line the Cybersecurity Professional Services Consultant is responsible for deploying and implementing our data security solutions in customer enterprise environments. In this position the consultant has a central role in the organization, generating revenue in coordination with sales, interfacing with the customer and coordinating with R&D and product management to enhance and optimize the solution to meet customers' needs.

This is a highly hands‑on and technical role with extensive customer‑facing responsibilities. The individual will work with cross‑functional teams at customer sites focusing mainly on IT security, encryption and key management to install and configure our data security products. Ideal candidate must be self‑motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base and new products.

We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Consultant with deep expertise in Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Cipher Trust Manager (CM) and pay Shield solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the end‑to‑end implementation lifecycle, including planning, design, deployment, integration and post‑implementation support of Thales security solutions for enterprise customers. This role encompasses:

• Planning: Engage with customers to gather requirements, define implementation scope and develop detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with security and compliance objectives.
• Solution Design: Architect secure key management, encryption and access control frameworks using Thales HSM and CM, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Implementation & Integration: Execute hands‑on installation, configuration and integration of HSMs, CM and related cryptographic solutions into customer environments, including validation and testing.
• Consultation: Provide training and support, best‑practice recommendations during projects.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce detailed design guides, configuration documentation and operational runbooks; deliver structured knowledge transfer sessions to customer technical teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present solutions, progress updates and best practices to both technical and executive stakeholders internally and externally.

• B.A./B.S. degree required, preferably Computer Science, Information Services or a related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in implementing encryption and key‑management solutions.
• Experience in onsite and remote project delivery models.

• Thales HSM expertise – hands‑on product knowledge and certification in general‑purpose and payment HSMs, preferably Luna and pay Shield.
• Cipher Trust Suite proficiency – strong working knowledge of Cipher Trust Manager, Cipher Trust Transparent Encryption, Cipher Trust Cloud Key Manager and other related Thales security modules, including policy creation and enforcement.
• Database encryption experience – implementation for Microsoft SQL Server TDE and Oracle TDE, ensuring secure data‑at‑rest protection.
• Cryptographic protocols – practical understanding and hands‑on experience with KMIP, PKCS #11, REST API, SNMP and TLS.
• Key and certificate lifecycle – proficiency in key generation, distribution, rotation, revocation and certificate lifecycle processes in compliance with industry best practices.
• Automation & integration – experience in programming or scripting languages (Python, Java, Power Shell, etc.) for automation of deployment tasks and integration with enterprise systems.
• Technical documentation – strong ability to capture technical requirements, produce detailed implementation guides and write high‑quality technical response papers for customer and internal audiences.
