IT Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage IT systems and infrastructure components including servers, operating systems, applications, services, and related tools.
• Monitor system health and performance using logging and monitoring tools; detect, triage, and elevate issues.
• Provide technical support for internal users and operational teams (Tier2 support preferred).
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents; assist with root‑cause analysis where required.
• Perform routine system maintenance activities: updates, patches, backups, and validation.
• Support networking operations, including connectivity checks and basic network service validation.
• Maintain accurate tickets, documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Assist with capacity planning, performance reporting, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement changes and enhancements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or technical support (production environment experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of:
  • Operating systems (Windows/Linux or both).
  • Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing concepts, firewall concepts).
  • Services and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience using monitoring and ticketing tools (Service Now/Jira or similar).
• Knowledge of incident management and basic service management practices.
• Ability to work shifts or on‑call if required (where applicable).
