An experienced Intelligence Research Associate Director to lead a highly specialized advanced intelligence research team within the Intelligence Fusion Center of our Managed Security Services (MSS). This team is responsible for conducting advanced threat research, performing deep‑diva analysis on emerging cyber threats, and generating high‑quality actionable intelligence to support the broader MSS operations and enhance the security posture of our clients.
The role requires exceptional expertise in cyber threat intelligence, artifact analysis, and intelligence production, with a focus on supporting MSSP services through advanced research and client‑focused intelligence outputs.
Core Responsibilities- Lead and manage the advanced cyber threat research team within the Intelligence Fusion Center, ensuring high‑quality outputs and alignment with MSS goals.
- Oversee advanced threat research and analysis, including APTs, campaigns, zero‑day vulnerabilities, malware, and adversary TTPs, to produce actionable intelligence.
- Direct the production of high‑quality intelligence reports tailored to MSSP operations and client‑specific needs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate research findings into operational workflows.
- Deliver detailed, high‑quality intelligence that supports MSSP operations and enhances client security postures.
- Develop and implement workflows, processes, and methodologies to ensure the team's efficiency and effectiveness in intelligence generation.
- Partner with external intelligence‑sharing organizations, vendors, and clients to enhance the threat research program and Fusion Center capabilities.
- Report progress, metrics, and the impact of research initiatives to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Related cybersecurity professional certificates/licenses are a plus.
- 8 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, advanced analysis, or research‑focused roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a highly technical team.
- Advanced expertise in artifact analysis, including malware reverse engineering, memory forensics, and advanced exploitation research.
- Strong knowledge of cyber threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, and Cyber Kill Chain.
- Proficiency in tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Wireshark, Volatility, YARA, and advanced threat hunting or analysis platforms.
- Familiarity with SIEMs, Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), XDRs, Sandboxes, and other tools used in MSS and Fusion Center operations.
- Expertise in adversary TTPs intelligence analysis and the ability to generate actionable intelligence findings.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages, e.g., Python, Power Shell, for automation and advanced analysis tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
