Raytheon is seeking a Requirements & Capabilities Associate Director to lead the company's business development in North Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan. In this role, you will represent Raytheon’s interests to government customers and U.S. Embassy country teams, coordinate client interactions, support trade shows, manage external consultants, and develop financial plans and opportunity pipelines.
What You Will Do- Partner with business development professionals and product leaders to evaluate customer insights and market dynamics.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on customer needs, market data, budgets, and opportunity development status.
- Establish an internal network to enable knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain customer contact and engagement plans.
- Lead staff calls and opportunity reviews.
- Organize logistics and management of business development consultants.
- Manage enterprise pipeline opportunities with capture leads and business development operations.
- Track customer engagements and coordinate internal visits.
- Lead the development of itineraries, agendas, and materials for senior executive visits.
- Facilitate implementation of initiatives across the function focused on continuous improvement.
- Support the development of the Raytheon regional strategy and overall corporate strategy.
- Leverage business development metrics for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years with an advanced degree.
- International business development experience in defense/security sectors and success in major growth opportunities in North Africa.
- Understanding of FMS and DCS processes with experience in export sales of U.S. military equipment.
- Experience tracking financial metrics and plans.
- Knowledge of Lifecycle Program Management, Enterprise Pipeline Manager, and New Business Investment processes.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
- Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in Arabic and French.
- Experience in military/diplomatic roles (e.g., Office of Defense Cooperation).
- Knowledge of international defense programs, captures, and product lines.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis processes.
- Knowledge of SBU products, local culture, political and military environment, and Ministry of Defense procurement regulations.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all management levels.
- Ability to communicate directly and effectively with decision makers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment.
