Job Overview
As a Network & Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining the organization’s network and cybersecurity infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of both on-premises and cloud-based environments through the effective management of network systems, security controls, and endpoint protection technologies.
You will manage and monitor Sophos firewalls, Cisco switching infrastructure, Microsoft Azure security services, and Microsoft Intune environments. The role involves implementing security policies, managing VPNs, maintaining network performance, conducting security assessments, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support the secure deployment of new technologies and services, provide technical expertise in network and security-related projects, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Network Administration and Cybersecurity Engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with Sophos Firewalls (XG/SG Series), Cisco Switching Technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong experience in managing enterprise network and security infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing, and Switching.
- Hands‑on expertise in Sophos Firewall administration, security policies, intrusion prevention, and threat protection.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure security, identity management, conditional access, and cloud networking.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, device compliance, and security policies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and industry best practices.
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments, analyze security logs, identify anomalies, and respond to security incidents.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to information security and operational excellence.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Sophos Certified Engineer / Architect.
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500).
- CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
