Cyber Defense Associate

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from tools such as SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall, and email security systems.
• Review and escalate suspicious activities, phishing emails, malware alerts, and unauthorized access attempts.
• Assist in basic incident response activities, including collecting evidence, documenting findings, and supporting remediation steps.
• Perform daily security checks and prepare operational security reports.
• Support user access reviews and help ensure access rights follow company policies.
• Assist in vulnerability management activities, such as tracking open vulnerabilities and following up on remediation.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation, logs, and incident records.
• Follow standard operating procedures for security monitoring and escalation.
• Support compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work with IT teams to resolve security-related issues.

• Diploma degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as malware, phishing, firewalls, vulnerabilities, and access control.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addresses, DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, and ports.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic IT troubleshooting.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in shifts if required.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
