Job Overview

This role encompasses lifecycle management, performance tuning, and automation of operating system-related processes to ensure stability and high availability. Key focus areas include automation, security measures, and continuous system optimization.

• Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning.
• Design and manage AIX servers in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
• Implement and maintain automation using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Configure and manage virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Apply CIS hardening guidelines, log forwarding, and SIEM integration.
• Ensure security compliance standards and perform OS-level auditing.
• Set up Linux centralized management tools such as Red Hat Satellite or SUSE Manager.
• Operate and maintain container runtimes and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift).
• Manage Helm charts, container image pipelines, and ingress configurations.
• Implement role-based access control and security configurations for container platforms.
• Manage persistence storage volumes in container environments.
• Assist with CI/CD integration and environment automation.
• Monitor and tune container performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Backup and restore vital data in container platforms.
• Manage signed certificates, basic authentication (Active Directory, LDAP), networking, volumes, and secrets in containerized environments.

• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with YAML, Helm, and Git Ops tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
• Strong knowledge of networking, volumes, and secrets in containerized environments.
• Experience with backup and restore processes for container data.
• Understanding of authentication methods such as Active Directory and LDAP.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and technical knowledge.
• Good knowledge of hybrid IT environments and patch management.
• Continuous learner staying abreast of industry knowledge and technology.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.

• AIX, Linux, or container certifications.
