Job Overview
The Global Services, Security (GSS) team, part of Amazon Web Services, leverages expertise and ingenuity to establish scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers that drive business outcomes. The AWS Security Assurance Services team within GSS works with our largest enterprise customers to operationalize the shared responsibility model as they migrate to the cloud. This customer‑facing role seeks a Practice Manager to expand the Security Assurance practice and educate customers on product‑led, people‑powered services that help operate securely on AWS while ensuring compliance objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Builds teams that deliver on innovative governance, risk, compliance, and security objectives.
- Builds a team that can define security, compliance, and risk management approaches to help customers move sensitive workloads onto the cloud faster.
- Engages in deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands‑on demonstrations to resolve security assurance questions and to understand how to manage risk and achieve security and compliance objectives while operating in AWS.
- Leads efforts with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
- Builds long‑lasting customer relationships with strategic stakeholders, supporting Business Development and Customer Success efforts of AWS Security Assurance Services.
- Travels to customer sites as needed.

You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.
- 10+ years of IT consulting or management experience with IT Transformation in customer‑facing roles.
- 3+ years of program or engagement management experience leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple concurrent projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑a‑service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges.
- Experience in enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture.
- Experience managing and delivering large‑scale enterprise IT projects.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT management frameworks like COBIT or ITIL.
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on‑premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP).
- Experience with customer relationship management, especially C‑suite level engagement.
- Experience designing modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services.
